Any advice on buying a model or building one?

I would like to purchase or buy a motel. Does anyone have any experience with the motel or hotel industry? Pros and cons, financing, grants etc...?Any advice on buying a model or building one?
Why? If you have no experience, you will quickly lose your money. Go to work for a motel until you have learned the business. Then make your decision. I was a V.P. of Hyatt Hotels, many, many years ago.Any advice on buying a model or building one?
