Hi, im looking to build a small garden railway in my garden. Can anybody recommend any good websites and shops?
I'm a absolutle beginner so any advice would be appreciated.Help and advice on building a Garden Railway !?
There is a video/DVD out about how to build a garden railway. It's all the programmes from a TV series shown on the Discovery channel two or three years back and it's available from a lot of places now - it's only drawback is the presenter - an ex Northern line driver who thinks he's good at presenting - and he's NOT ! ! !
A site or two to try:

It is a print magazine, but has an on-line newsletter and other neat resources.

Good luck with your new hobby. Its a lot of fun
You might like to try 'Railway Modeller' (for the British scene) or 'Continental Modeller' (for railways abroad), both published in the UK by Peco, who also make track and accessories for various model railway gauges.
Articles on indoor %26amp; outdoor railways in all the smaller gauges, plenty of trade ads (many of them with websites) and private ads, product reviews, etc.
They also do booklets on all aspects of model railways including garden lines. Plus there are plenty of books, DVD's etc. from other publishers on the subject.
It's also a good idea to join a railfans' club if you can, plenty of fellow enthusiasts to share experience and info.
Btw. I just put, 'garden model railways' into the Yahoo! search engine and got over 2,000,000 hits! Happy browsing!
