I'm building a music studio. What advice can I give my architect at this early stage?

We're building a new house and I'll have a room for making music. The architect has asked for some guidance on characteristics of the room and I'd like to send her in the right direction. What should I tell her?I'm building a music studio. What advice can I give my architect at this early stage?
if your going to play live drums, insulate the walls with dense foam.

If your going to mainly record and use an electronic kit, you don't have to do much except build a relatively sound proof vocal booth.I'm building a music studio. What advice can I give my architect at this early stage?
Maybe go on a tour of some local studios for some ideas - they usually have blueprints available to look at as well. I'm sure your local library has some books on studios as well. She's the architect - she should be able to do the research.
round is best with low ceilings....... if you've had a chance to make it to sun studios, the most simple design and best recording studio around. if elvis was around you could ask.....guess not. sorry. but the the perforated ceiling tiles seem to have alot to do with the great sound that comes from there.
