We are building a house and need advice for the 2nd floor covered porch decking.?

We needs some ideas of what to use for the decking on a second floor porch. We need something that won't leak. Any ideas? We are building a house and need advice for the 2nd floor covered porch decking.?
It depends on your location if it freezes. You need to take appropriate water proofing measures. a standard Joist and plywood floor are a good start. you need to have appropriate flashings at corners and edges. (I am assuming you have live able space under the deck.) then you can do a tile mud bed or use dura rock to get slope so the water will run off correctly. Next install a water proofing membrane. Latticrete makes a good roll on product. Use several coats and the backing fabric specified by the manufacturer (Latticrete) on the last coat while it is wet sprinkle it with sand. This gives the tile mastic something to adhere too. install tile and grout as usual.

Contact me if I can offer any other clarification on this. Rolsenn2003@yahoo.comWe are building a house and need advice for the 2nd floor covered porch decking.?
Lay a plywood (particle board) deck then cover that with 30# felt capped with 90# roofing sheet. It the least expensive way but watch for wear in the high traffic areas.
laying down timber decking, then masonite and then some tiles, or lino will seal the floor against leaking.
