Building new HT with an Onkyo TX-SR805 + Aperion Intimus 532 XD Speakers. Any Advice, other brands, value / $?

I am not a professional audio or a tech savy guy, but I've checked some reviews and it seems to be a very good mid range system.

I also considered Polk audio for the speakers and Yamaha RX-V2700 as receiver (given its networking capabilities).

My budget is around $2,500. Should I consider other receivers or speakers?Building new HT with an Onkyo TX-SR805 + Aperion Intimus 532 XD Speakers. Any Advice, other brands, value / $?
Stick with Onkyo - the beast deal on the market, with HDMI1.3a and new HD audio processors.

There is a company called NHT - well known in High End circles, but not one of those BestBuy brands.

Their classic series awesome - at realistic prices.

I saw it on sale at http://www.audioadvisor.com/searchprods.鈥?/a>

Classic four (fronts) for $999. Classic Two (rears) $250, Classic Three C (Center) $175. Classic twelve sub $250.Building new HT with an Onkyo TX-SR805 + Aperion Intimus 532 XD Speakers. Any Advice, other brands, value / $?
Howdy, I am building a a new sound system myself.

The Onkyo looks really good!

I bought a Harman Kardon and am really happy with it.

Here are some other direct marketing speaker manufacturers

you might want to check out.

Ascend Acoustics: I bought a pair of the CBM 170 SE and they sound great. They are similar to the speakers you have listed but have greater sensitivity.

These speakers got my attention but I didn't think I had the proper room for them. They are planar ribbon speakers and are supposed to sound great!

I spoke with one of the engineers at Axion Audio and he was really excited about their line of speakers.

HSU Research is supposed to have one of the best sub woofers on the market. I plan on buying one as soon as budget permits :-)

There are many high quality speakers on the market.

The ones I have listed give you more for your money. This is important to me as I have work within a budget, but do not want to comprimise sound quality.

Good Luck!
