I would like to hear of someone who can give advice on building a low garden wall with railings.?

Hi, I built a low wall facing on to the pavement. The first link I found for you gives some details on what I did. As for the railings, some types bolt on and some you need to put the capping on once they are fitted,

thats the second link to look at. Other people may give a more detailed explanation, but for now have a read.

Or you can get someone to help or do it for you.

Three parts:

Foundation;

Wall;

Railings.

Type of railings,weight etc will determine your wall design.

First dig a trench for the foundation and fill with concrete and level.

Get help with setting up plumblines etc. Research and work out everything beforehand and draw plans with proper measurements.You will need to plant stakes to mark critical points. Try this site.
