Then what, do i just put and OS disk into the optical drive and start up the PC and thats it or can i not do that?Pc building advice?
You will need to go into the bios and select load failsafe defaults. Then on the first boot it will tell you to hit any key to boot from CD. After that all you have to do is follow the on screen prompts.

Have fun.Pc building advice?
All dumb answers before this one. Yes but check the bios first to set the time and date if not already set. Make sure it is set to boot from disc. And check around the bios to see if their is anything else particular you want set. Then put in the OS and boot.
Once everything is connected, just boot from the O/S disk %26amp; follow the installation procedure.
as long as you have everything hooked up ok, just boot it up with the install disc in the dvd drive and install the OS, that simple
Kinda, sorta, not really. You should first go into your BIOS and check all of your settings for the parts you have installed, options that you want enabled, etc. Use the instruction manual that came with your motherboard to help you with this.

That being said, all of your hardware has installed firmware on it. That provides the basics for communication for all of the parts. Generally, the components will work without any intervention. Once you've verified everything in your BIOS, you should be good to go with installing your OS. Good luck!
if you have everything hooked up correctly then yep...just insert the CD and boot up 8^)
You build the thing.

Then put the OS in %26amp; any drivers needed.
